Michelle & Christopher Ellis would like to invite you to our restaurant!
Here is a little background to share our story. Michelle has been summering in Ortley Beach her whole life, working such summer jobs as a lifeguard, waitress, video clerk, even toaster girl. She graduated from the University of Delaware in 1995, met Christopher while managing a national chain restaurant in the Philly area, and has over 20 years of experience in the restaurant industry. Christopher has over 30 years experience, working with Wolfgang Puck and Nancy Oakes in San Francisco and Philippe Chin in Philadelphia.

We moved to Ortley Beach in 1999 and took over Lavallette Ristorante & Pizzeria in September 2004. Janis Kastel of Ortley Beach painted some beautiful murals for us, (the background images seen on this website are a sample of her work) which gives a warm and friendly feel to our two dining rooms. We have 110 seats, meaning less time waiting than other places. Our guests also love our remodeled bathrooms. They tell us they are nicer than the ones they have at home, but you can be the judge yourself.

Throughout the summer you will always find Christopher and Michelle working at the restaraunt and ready to welcome you to lunch or dinner. Our servers are well versed in the art of great customer service. It’s our passion to give you the best dining experience. Our kitchen crew is dedicated to making your meal taste almost as good as your mother’s! The result is some of the finest food in a casual setting you will find anywhere.
